Project in Progress: Brand Identity & SEO Strategy for GTT&S (Gary Tavey Training & Support)
I am currently collaborating with Gary Tavey to launch the brand identity and digital footprint for GTT&S (Gary Tavey Training & Support), a premium New Zealand-based onboarding and construction safety compliance contractor.
Gary specialises in specialised crew training for INTAKS scaffolding and edge-protection systems—the gold standard for height safety in the NZ construction sector.
B2B Brand Identity & Design Execution
To establish instant industry credibility for GTT&S, I engineered a bold, high-contrast visual identity utilising a high-visibility safety yellow and structured black palette.
Psychological Design Alignment: The core geometry of the GTT&S mark intentionally mirrors the structural, interlocking lines of the official INTAKS branding. This creates an immediate, trusted connection for site managers, main contractors, and B2B clients looking for certified safety compliance.
Digital Infrastructure: We are currently securing local infrastructure—including a custom .co.nz Google Workspace ecosystem—and mapping out a high-conversion website layout. The digital strategy positions Gary’s elite technical expertise as the ultimate solution for site productivity, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction.
Upcoming Milestones & Action Items
To transition GTT&S from development to active commercial operations, the next phases focus on digital setup and high-impact B2B copywriting:
Secure the Domain: Audit local and international domain registrars to secure gttsupport.com, gtts.co.nz, or a close, brand-aligned variation immediately.
Launch Google Workspace: Establish a professional email ecosystem (e.g., gary@...) to replace personal inboxes, instantly elevating the brand's authority when sending commercial proposals.
Draft the Professional Bio: Author a concise, high-conversion 3-sentence profile bio. This copy will seamlessly bridge Gary’s extensive industry background directly into the tangible, bottom-line commercial advantages his training contracts offer to construction firms.
The Graphic Design WIP Workflow
1: The Creative Direction (Moodboards):
Before sketching a single line, we establish the visual "vibe." I pull color palettes, typography styling, and imagery into a curated moodboard. You sign off on the overall artistic direction so we ensure the emotional tone aligns perfectly with your brand identity.
2: Concept Sketches & Layout Wireframes:
Next, I map out raw layouts. Depending on the project, this looks like digital sketches or low-fidelity structural layouts.
We focus purely on composition, hierarchy, and ideas—ignoring final colors and details to lock in the core concept first.
3: Digital Refinement & Prototypes:
Once the layout structure is approved, I transition into software (like Figma or Illustrator) to build out the polished, high-fidelity drafts.
You receive a dynamic presentation link where you can see the designs in high resolution and leave contextual feedback.
4: The Design System & Asset Handover:
After final revisions, I don't just send a flat image.
I organise your design assets into a clean, structured package containing all necessary file types (SVG, PNG, print-ready PDFs) alongside a mini style-guide for fonts and colours.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER
